MisSpeedy and I went detecting at a tot lot in Fair Park
today.

5-30-1a.jpg

I’ve hunted there many times. I can usually find something
there.

Today is the first time I’ve been well enough to detect in 6
days. I’ve had tha Creapin Crudd. Didn’t expect anything
much, but ended up finding a thang that is kind of special
to me, if no one else.

This is the pile I left with. Can you see what it is?

And then I tossed the junk and took a pic of what I wanted
to save a while. There is a couple of ear rings, a little doggie
charm, a big red button with a design on it, a cheap ring and
then there is something kind of special to me.

Four months ago, I detected this same tot lot and found a
neat brass thang. I liked it and for some reason it’s special
to me.

10-30-6.jpg

It was under the sand in the tot lot and then about 6 or 8
inches into the undisturbed ground below the tot lot media.

I have no way of knowing how old tha thang is, but it’s neat.

Today, about 30’ away from where I found that thang, I
found this thang.

10-30-3.jpg

I knew right off it was part of the other thang.

Now, after I don’t know how many years, the two parts of
tha thang are reunited.

10-30-5.jpg

Now, where’s the rest of tha thang????

Happy Hunting,

Tabdog

Man Scrounger,

It's tough findin the mate to an ear ring.

I have found maybe two.

I have a lot of close calls, but no cigar.

That ribbon is a clip-on. Kinda like a clip-on tie.

MisSpeedy is doing great.

I love the 7" coil, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'll be darned if the 5.75 don't work better.

I have two Compadre's. One with a 7" coil.

That's MrSpeedy.

One with a 5.75" coil. That's MisSpeedy.

They are both killer.

$220 was the total cost of them both.

Tha brass thang looks like a wind chime to me.

Happy Hunting,

Tabdog

Hay Scrounger,

Nice to meet a Tesoro user. I got 5 of um.

You asked:

A Euro Sabre is a model that was marketed in Europe.

It is just like the Eldorado, but where the frequency shift

is on the Eldorado, there is an " Iron ID " switch.

The switch has an " Iron Blank ". Which cuts out most
small iron and small foil.

Switch has an " Audio ". Which gives the iron a low tone.
In actual use the Audio gives low tone on iron, a double
tone on pull tabs and gold and larger iron and the regular
tone on things above pull tab. A pull tab is on the edge,
so it tends to give broken or bouble tones. So does gold.

The switch can be turned off and then It's just like an
Eldorado.

I like it and the Eldorado. I had an Eldorado and sold it
because I like the Euro Sabre's Iron ID feature.

Hey Tabdog,
My tigershark makes the same sound (chatter, chatter) for gold, 99.9 % of the time it's a pulltab but I gotta dig it lol...
Nice thingy and ajoining thingy you found there, it's pretty!
