Actually, it is worth even less. That is the "Old Peso" currency, not the new. In 1996 or so, the Peso was devalued by 100 times. It isn't even legal tender in Mexico any more. I had the same problem with an old $1000 Peso bill someone gave me. It is a souveigner/collectible now.
