Great day- My first dated V nickel & Two rings
Today was a great day for me. I found a wedding band for a gentleman after work today. See my other post.
Today at lunch I hit the plantation woods and finally found my first dated V nickel! A 1905.
Also pictured are some other relics I've found at the plantation last week.
Does anyone know what these two "Spencer" clips would be from? Too small to be suspender clips.
After work I hit a park on the way home. I worked an area where I found two gold rings last year by the lake.
My very first hole was the metal arrowhead pendant.
God as my witness, my very next hit was a silver ring with clear & colored stones. Stamped .925.
I thought, "man, this is great."
About 20 minutes later, after digging a number of fishing sinkers, I got a good signal close to the paved walkway. I dug a plug and....Holy Smokes , a big fat silver men's ring. I left it in the dirt plug and brought it home as-is for you all to see before I cleaned it up. It is a heavy ring stamped "Ster" (sterling) inside, with a beautiful North Carolina symbol on the front.
Both rings are beautiful finds indeed, and I wasn't even close to finishing the area yet before I got called away. Hopefully there will be more to be found.
Thanks for looking,
MM
(I think my Dad was looking down on me today. )
