This brooch came from an old area of Petersburg, Va.
It is 2'' high and 1.1/2'' wide.
This brooch is the first piece of jewelry I have found in this area.
I get out to this place when ever I get the time. And most of the
other relics I get from there are the usual stuff that comes from
Petersburg.
All the designs, on the front are flowers.
I would like to have more information on this, and a estimate on it's age. :icon_scratch:

I'm sorry about the way the pictures came out. Sometime I get the size right.
And, sometimes I am off by a mile.

Jim, thinks for the information. Do you know a site that has this buckle on it?

Nope, but hold on a few and I'll find you some other examples... close, but not exact...

This is yours:

Nice find,

I'm gonna say pre 1900. It's got the solid pin back on it. hose are the oldest type. Looks victorian or shortly after.

Hey Roadquest, Greetings from rainy, snowy, drizzly, cool S. Korea. I have lived in Petersburg, VA before. Loved to go down close to the James River, down in the old part of the city, and hunt several of the parks that can be found there.
Do you live in/near Petersburg? I also hunted in the next city close to you, Leesburg, and in several of the smaller villages, around some of the older homes. Made some nice finds, but nothing spectacular......also some nice CW stuff.....and did hunt Ft. Lee, and found two nice
CW era buckles.
Enjoyed my time there.....many, many nice people. God bless. hikeinmts, for sure
