Hunted a house that dates back to the late forties.Its along the water.I thought to myself nah that cant be what I think it is"likely just another aluminum can"but when I saw that hint of silver catch my eye,I was jumping around like a crazy person!! Happy New Year!!

And thanks for the photo...it brought back some fine memories. I grew up in Montreal (till age 15) and remember the posted Silver coins very fondly.

Looking it up, it seems Canada kept the Silver for a few more years than the U.S. I really like the $1 and $2 coins available north of the border....battery money builds up faster.
