They put a coinstar in at the local Wal-mart. I check the reject slot. I regularly find coins there. I am going to keep track for 2009.

I've pulled lots of silver dimes and some quarters out of the coinstar machines. You'll see a ton of wheats fall into the return slot. I also found a 1902 indian head penny, but some one had cut around the head and turned it into a necklece or a charm for a bracelet. shanko

One out of three ain't bad, I guess.

The Coinstar machines around here are constantly pilfered by the crackheads and destitute alcoholic bums.

I have yet to even see a Zincoln in one.

I am guilty of being a destitute alcoholic bum at times. I have found a fair amount of silver in the kick back box.

If the kick back box weren't pilfered by crackheads and destitute alcoholic bums the who would do it? Someone who earns a paycheck? We are all scavengers to some extent, some with addictions heavier than others.

Nice finds!

Nice coins! I did find a British 5 Pence last week on top of a Coinstar machine.

Nice coinstar machine finds. The German 5 Pfenning coin is copper nickel and had 1.705 million minted that year at what looks like the Frankfurt mint. I have only found a few of those. HH, Mike
