Hello Everyone!
I wasn't sure if I was going to detect today because of the wet weather, but one of my buddies said he wanted to hunt, so I decided to join him. It started out as a strong mist in the morning, but gradually turned into showers. The ground was not real muddy, but the wet clay was sticking to everything. During the hardest showers, I was gonna call it a day with a couple of Rosies and about 8 wheats in my pouch, but I stuck it out a little more, and I'm glad I did. The showers stopped, and the silver started popping out of the ground. I ended up digging 4 more silver coins; 4 Mercs, along with a chopped sterling ring with a red, diamond-cut stone, and 9 more wheats. I also managed a '71 Kennedy half(first half of the year), a chopped 20 Centavos at 8", and about 30 clad quarters. The silver coins ranged from 4" down to 8.5".
All in all, it was a great day for me hunting in the wet conditions. My pants, shoes, and jacket were real dirty, but now they're all cleaned, as are my silver!!
Thanks for looking!!
