    Clipped and broken

    Well two nice finds if not complete. One a heavily clipped hammered silver penny, the other a broken roman pin in the shape of an hand holding something between finger and thumb.

    What ever the coin is it's York mint, proberbly Ed111, can't say on here what I think the hand was holding...not with out getting deleted

    Congrats on the hammered! I found a small similar bronze fist that was holding something like yours a few years ago. I was told it was not very old but, I found it at the base of a Celtic fortress that the Romans also used. I'll try to post a picture as it could use a review. HH, Mike
