hi
I found this large chunk of copper this week at work. We have a plow metal detector that pushes it off the belt before it goes to the 5 1/2 crusher.

Sounds like a conver-belt type machine. You put large amounts of dirt down it and stop the machine when it goes throught the main detector and find it with a hand-held unit.
The plow metal detector . The material runs on a conver-belt and as metal of any kind passes under the metal detector the "plow" or arm sweeps the metal from the conver-belt. The metal along with stones are pushed off the belt to the ground. In mining we call this tramp steel. The crusher "a 5 1/2 foot cone crusher" could plug if large pieces of metal are allowed to run thought it.
The copper is in the rock we mine.
