Upper-Middle & Upper Sections - FINISHED.........

Shaun7 joined me at 0900 to help finish off the field we have been doing. The temp was down to -5 to -7 & the windy snow showers tryed to drive us off the exposed hill. We finished just as it got dark at 17:15. The ground was still soft from recent rain but by the end of the day the mud was freezing to our spades. (Shaun7 was glad I brought spare gloves  )

Cru'dad joined us at lunch for coffee & food, & to help us finish. He had two lead tokens & a few blank button :D Shaun7 did much better, but will post later when his computer is up & running after modem issues.

I had 2 Roman fibula (Brooches)
8 scrappies
Another hammered of Liz I (Penny)
and a few other interesting pieces........

Wow Cru, this was a (cold) good day for you for sure, what nice finds! Just great!
And its amazing to hear that Shaun has done better than you! Now I am sure you
can kick yourself about the Lobo, but its just wonderful that Shaun is doing good.
He should find some good searching places for himself, I would guess he must drive
a distance to find them though. Always wonder why he does not find more where
he lives. (it is England?)

I hope, seeing your finds, that you are keeping a running total of buttons.... Its too
hard for me because some are hidden behind others.....

Nice buckles, what is the thing left of the smashed fingerhood? The thing with things
that poke out of the material...

Nice tokens (I never find them), and great bird, what's that? ???

4th photo, what's the thing on the top of the photo?

Nice, very nice, hammered!
