Spent the afternoon slogging around a very wet field of 9 inch long grass trying to locate an old militia field. I didn't. But, I did find a really great crotal bell. This is the largest complete one I have found. I really love cleaning the mud and dirt out of it and hearing it ring again for the first time in two hundred years. Such a rush. This one must have been on a cow, because of its size. I am posting a picture of it next to a penny so you can see how large it really is. The second posting is with two others I have found in the past. You can see how much bigger this one is. Also found a horse shoe and ox shoe. Only coin today was a 1917 wheat penny....Lance
