2 SILVER DAY AFTER A TWO WEEK SILVER DROUGHT(ONE LARGE,ONE SMALL)

I tried a few different spots to no avail today, so I headed back to my old reliable spot. I was lucky enough to squeeze out a 1964D quarter and a 1946D Roosevelt, a few wheat's, a Madelon, and some other odds and ends. Hope you enjoy the pics. HH!!

The 3 Merry Widows container is a Condom holder from back in the day before plastic packaging. Still lokking for my first one of those! They seem to pop up with regularity!

You know it's funny that back in the day they would associate a widow with a condom.

Back in the day it was considered a sin and shamefull to have a child out of wedlock because most people were religious and had close knit communties. Alot of unmarried women were sent away if they were with child so not to have shame put on the family. A widow that didn't become pregnant out of wedlock would be merry. I think that's how the name came about.

A 2 silver day is a great day, at 10 times face value they start adding up. Where the condom tins are there should be other nice finds.
