found 6 silver and a 9 gram 14K gold thick ankle bracelet. Hunted a beach where the lake has been partially drained and a farm field. First target at the lake was a 1745 silver 3 Kreuzer, then two silver rings, a silver 1958 American Rosie and a nice silver heart .925 earring, a little over 12 Euros or 15.00 USD in change and several other neat finds. 1831 silver 3 Kreuzer coin on the farm field and 3 other late 1800 and early 1900 coins. I have a lot of prime areas open right now, trying to hunt the best with the time I have. Hoping to line up a rare German ghost town hunt this Fall with a new detecting buddy! Try to post pics later.? HH, Mike

A few finds from the lake hunt. Two .925 silver rings, a silver .925 heart shaped earring and a real nice 14K (stamped 585) gold ankle bracelet that weighs 9 gm.

Obverse of a 1745 silver milled 3 Kreuzer in nice condition considering it came from a lake bed. It was blackened over so I put it in a cleaning solution. This was my first target, amazing!

Reverse of the 1745, date is at the 03:30 position. This was a really good hunt, hope to get back there and put the waders on, since the lake is partially drained I can get way out in the deep areas. Still some prime ground to cover here. HH, Mike

Updated with Pics!? Hey Birdman, the towns are around 800-1000 years old and ceased to exist about 100 years ago. I detected one about 15 years ago but had no idea what I was doing back then. I need to do some research on them. HH, Mike

Nice finds Mike. You certainly have good spots to hunt. I was stationed in Hanau, Germany in 1980-1981. Too bad I did not start detecting back then.
