My oldest son wanted me to share his find with all of you.

I bought my sons (ages 9 and 12) an ACE 250 for Christmas. They took it to their papaw's house and he told them to take it out behind the barn. He stated someone had been known to 'hide' stuff out there and they just might 'find' something. They found a metal box with the following contents. :icon_jokercolor: It's all foreign money and if any of these coins are rare, please let us know.

My son is anxiously waiting to see the replies to this post.

Thank you.

Nice. Kids will love the 250. I heard it's a nice one at it's price range.

Happy Hunting

There are 4 Mexican coins. None has any silver, but are very cool to hang on to. I like the Centavos coin the best.

Snyper,

Don't know about the rest, but you really do need to do something about that critter on your avatar. I 'bout scraped off my screen trying to get rid of it!

I cannot make out the exact dates on the New Zealand half penny (?) and the Chinese Yuan but all are around $1 in the red book, the 2 Francs from Tunisia is around $2... But they are all beautiful coins and a great way to start a coin collection, 8 coins covering 4 continents... Great finds....

I only recognize the japanes coin. If you take a closeup I can tell you what year it is. I've studied Japanese reading and writting for 33 years. Wife is from Japan too Ron

Sweeet! Papaw is definitely priceless and the memory of finding that treasure is priceless too. I know I would be doing a happy dance to find something like that! I can't wait to see what all the kids end up finding! Welcome to tnet! Great start!
