    That has got to be one of the most interesting finds that I have ever seen found on Tnet since I have been a member. You can find coins worth a bunch of cash and find some very unusual things. But to find a piece of history that is related to battle or some sort of relationship to war is amazing! Buy far.....that is a great find! Congrats............Keep on Digging! John

    A mace was a weapon - some were mounted to a chain attached to a heavy wood handle and swung - some were mounted directly to the end of a club. Either way, you were a goner if on the receiving end of the blow...
