Got back out the the yard where my grandather grew up today. Got 8 Silvers a couple weeks ago....did well again today.
Indian Head is 1880, very rough shape.

I am pretty sure the Button is Civil War??? I know it is Massachusetts...any help IDing it would be greatly appreciated!!!
Looked up the Latin...its the motto of Massachusetts adopted 1775..."By the sword it seeks peace but only under liberty"

Nice button! However, it appears to be Albert's #MS 44A, which is listed as "late"— i.e., postwar.
