Well, little brother kicked butt today. He found a really nice 1864 two cent piece and a 1912 Wheat along with a Frizzen from a Flintlock rifle, (Possibly from a Brown Bess). He also found a boot toe plate, a set of harmonica reeds, a good luck charm, a plate from in front of a key hole, a small caliber minnie ball and six buttons. I found a 1869 three cent piece, a 1905 indian head and a 1927 wheatie. I also found a carraige harness guide, seven buttons and some other goodies including a pewter spoon handle. All in all a great day. Rick got to show the owner of the property (Emmit) how to use a detector and he had a ball. I'll include some other pictures along with the goodies we found today. Tomorrow is the last day of the hunt. We will be going to two unsearched cellar holes...Lance

Just for the fun of it, we put the frizzen that Rick found today on the lock plate I found on the same property about 4 weeks ago. They look pretty good together. Now where is the hammer....Lance

I like those buttons you found some remind me of a button collection my grandmother had and was sold when she died. Some of yours don't even look like they were ever in the ground.
Unfortunately all good things must end but with the weather we had I'd say you had an exceptional week. I look forward to the next time you get to together for another adventure. :)
