As most of you all know, my yard has produced
alot of nice coins over the last eight months or
so.
Well, today it produced a decent cache for me,
16 wheaties,dated from 1919 to 1958, 1 mercury
dime dated 1918, denver mint and a not too bad
looking buffalo nickel.
I normally dont detect on this side of my house,
due to my landlords nosey parents living on
that side of the property, but im glad that I
did detect on that side today.
All the coins was found about 7 inches down
and all within several inches of each other.

Not too bad looking buffalo? That's a remarkable buffalo! Nice digs!

What kind of ground are you digging in? :o :o

Those coins look like they've never been in the ground. Old nickels don't normally come out of the ground looking like yours. Just amazing!

I'd go back again to see if you missed any. Heck, it's your yard of all places. ;D ;D

Thats just it, all the older coins come
out nice, but the newer ones are
just about totally deteriorated.
The ground is really soft, its a dark
soil with lots of rocks and is so easy
to dig in.
Anyone in my area that wants to detect
in my yard, call me, then come on by.

I have an update on this post, my wifes cousin
lived in this house about a year before we moved
in and she has a little boy who is into all types
of mischief and its a possibilty he got into his
dads coins and possibly buried them....
Either way, they are now in my collection where
they are staying, finders keepers, loser weepers....

You sure you didn't drop that buffalo while taking your coin albums out to show your friends at the picnic table in the yard?

Nice pocket spill.
