Found my 4th Connecticut Copper today at a spot me and DigginitRTB have been at for a couple days. This place has some potential. In 2 days, and about 8 hours of hunting, we have a total of 3 coins (1787 Ct, 1796 Liberty Cap, and a real nice 1812 Classic Head), and over 20 buttons. I know there are still more. Was able to get a date even though there is some tough patina on it. The obverse is real "pitty", but the reverse was not bad. I put before and after pics from the peroxide bath. I could see the obverse was going to be pitted just by the outer edge of the coin. Can't see what it is, ifin' ya don't clean it! Hogge

Nice find Hogge! What was the sol like ? Was the pitted side facing up or down in the soil? Thanks for sharing and good luck with finding more.

Good deal. Nice copper. 8) :icon_sunny:

What about the buttons? MM found a $800 one recently. Any cool buttons? With over 20 you should have some nice ones....

I've actually got a couple really old ones I've yet to post...

Hogge, you are the man. Great find. i am going to try the peroxide if i ever find another
old copper. Been on a long dry streak, but then again you have to be swinging to find
find anything. Congratulations.
