Fat 1862 Indian, ? Copper.....silver ring

Got out again today..couple of sites
At the first site found 1862 Indian and YET ANOTHER WORN DOWN COPPER...This RI soil is killing me! But, at least I am finding old copper

Found the ring at a schoolyard along with that button/token?

Yeah I would say that soil is a little harsh on the coins, nice finds anyhow & nice ring!

Congrats on the "fatty". Those early Indian Hears (1859-1864) had a high nickel content. In fact they were were referred to as nickels until the introduction of the nickel five cent piece in 1866. Due to the high nickel content, those date Indians are typically in sad shape from being in the soil for so long.
