Fleam opens!!!

I found this old blood letting tool, (fleam) about two months ago and it was rusted closed.? I soaked it in DW40 for a month and finally got it open.? It is identical to one in the collectors Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution on page 187.

I am surprised that you got that open. I wonder who opened it last, and what they opened it for? That is what I love about this hobby you never know.

That has got to have some historical value... Any idea what the market value is? Interesting find!

I have seen some that are in better shape in the range of $75 to $100. so I don't think it has a real high value, but I wouldn't trade it!!!! Lance

Hard to believe they made a tool for that purpose,, I dont even wanna know how it worked, nice find, not many can say they have one! Chris
