My first flat button

Detected at a very old farm house yesterday. I thought that it was going to be old coin heaven as the owner said no one had detected there as far as he knew.
Didn't turn out that way. I actually got very few signals at all. The best signal turned out to be my first ever flat button. I'm very happy!!! I'm going back when it stops raining, (they are calling for snow later today). :'(

Don't know anything about flat buttons so if anyone can clue me in on what I have I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

Man that is a nice decorative flat button. I've never seen one just like it. Most that I have found are plain.

That is a nice flat button! It may not be the war ones some are fortunate to find, but I will take a flat button any day.

Circa 1780s-1800. Known as a 'Dandy' Button in the UK. Made to attract the ladies

It looks like it has a little gold gilt on the front in some of the design.
