Before I get started, I would like to thank everyone here for fueling my desire to go deeper in my new hobby ! Just looking at some of the finds on here had me drooling! I started in mid January of this year ( late Christmas present for myself ) just in my yard and driveway. Right off the bat, I started finding coins. My second coin was a silver dime. This was enough to make me stay out until dark digging up my driveway. Needless to say, I was hooked. Since that fateful day, I have taken every opportunity to metal detect, even if it were only for a few minutes. In the months since then I have found numerous clad coins, totaling close to 80.00, an old toy car, axe head ( not sure the age of this) and my prize coin found on my last hunt, a silver standing liberty quarter !!!! Let me say, I screamed like a school girl with a spider on her nose ! NOTHING can prepare you for your first real silver ! I have seen many of these that have been collected by family and friends, but to actually dig one up yourself and hold it.....well, lets just say that it holds more meaning to me than if I were to buy one. Any way, here are the photo's. I am sorry the quality isn't that good but i will try to post more with my new collection of coins.
