Well,my brother Don is totally hooked! He calls me up at 5:00 and asks me if I'm going detecting for a while. Well I wanted to and it didn't take much to talk me into it. He picked me up and we headed to one of my nephews house. Not extremely old,but silver age anyway. We split the front yard and we both found some memorials and a couple clad dimes.
Then we switched sides and I managed a wheatie, and the set of wings on a shaky signal. He pulled a wheatie from my side. Went to the back yard and on my second pass I had a low tone, but different from foil. Out popped the war nickel, scanned the hole and right next to it I found the merc. I little later he also found a merc. Three wheat's,a merc, the nickel and the TWA junior pilot wings for me. Don had some wheat's and a merc.
Not bad for an hour and a half hunt.
HH, Steve
