1840's house...found a North Carolina Buckle

I spotted a period house today(owner occupied) and asked for permission to hunt the property...permission granted. I started scanning the yard for coins and such. just off the front porch i got a good signal. I dug up a buckle. I was pretty excited until i saw what was on it. The word "CAROLINA" overlaid by a ram...I believe this is a UNC tarheels buckle. Oh well ,,,the search continues ,,,still a nice find...just not quite the NC buckle i was hoping for.
