My 1st Shield Nickel - 1867!!!! Cleaned up a lot better!!! New pix/ Video added

Went out today with Twistidd and Watercolor out in the woods again. We bumped around to a few places then decided to go back over to where Twistidd found his 2 Barber dimes last week. This is what I found, an 1867 (no rays) Shield Nickel!!! This is my 2nd oldest coin that I found!!! This coin still has the edge around the rim and all of the high relief details on it but the ground wasn't kind to it, but I am super happy that I found it, heck I haven't even found a V-Nickel yet this year! I also found a 1919 & 1946d Wheaties.

The new pix arn't in the best focuse but thats the best I could get it while taking a pix like 2 inches from the camera. But its clearly an 1867!!!

It looks like a 1881 to me. Although I can't really tell. 1881 is a rare date.

Looks like 1881 to me too. Not enough space for that last digit to be a 7.

Yeah man ! Hey one week ago tonight I found my first one as well , an 1868 in @ fine condition . I was so

jacked ! It's my first coin from the 1800's - I didnt feel I should post my find story in today's finds because

i still dont have a camera and likely wont for a few more weeks . Great find ! I soaked mine overnight in

Lea and Perrins worchestirshire sauce , and it cleaned off the green corrosion on mine . Argentium.
