My first "Walking Liberty".......YEAH!.....plus extras

Oh yeah!!!!! Excitement restored for sure...........

Ok,
So, my niece lost her locket while gardening and called me over. So I threw the XLT into "all metal" and found it within 5 minutes....DONE

I decided to do some detecting after because of all the good sounding targets I ran across. I spent about a hour looking in this small 20' by 20' area.

Found a bunch of new and old items.......but what's important is the very LAST target I was gonna uncover.......

Up popped that lovely half dollar....only 3 inches down too.......and then the happy dance by me followed......... :tongue3:

I found:

-8 pennies
-1 flattened penny?
-1 Canadian penny
-2 old compacts ( one said: Tangee (on front) and The George W. Luft Company (on back) )
-1 button: (that has some kind of markings on the front and a bent over tab on back)
-1 1830 tin religious medallion (The Medal of the Immaculate Conception, commonly called the Miraculous Medal, was manifested to Sister (now saint) Catherine Laboure. This took place in the chapel of the Motherhouse of Daughters of Charity on November 27, 1830.)
-1 copper dog tag

-1 1939 S "Walking Liberty" half dollar (MY FIRST!!!!!)

Good Luck and Happy Hunting,

Dugholes (Doug)
