It's big! It's ugly! It's Drilled! It's mine now!! 1819 King George III silver.

Started a new site today! Intown woods. alot of junk 2 clean up! Car parts ! alum siding! U name it it's there! I did score on this King george III silver half crown. I also picked up a sterling spoon!! Only other coin was a 1950 wheatie. I know this is an old site ! I believe there was an old house on this lot in the early 19th century and then again in the early 20th century. This silver is in really bad shape! It looks like it was in a fire! It's warped It's corroded, The worst looking silver I have ever pulled up!! Perhaps the original Homestead burnt down . I was able 2 date it through pic comparison! The 1818 bust was a little different! as was the 1820!! I know where I will be this weekend end.

You are right Mainerelic, that thing is big and ugly, too ugly to put in your collection so you better send it my way... Still a nice coin no matter what. Looks like you have a great site there. Give it a good going over. Good luck to you. How big is that coin? Quarter size?
