Mark this one off the "to find" list....1898 Barber Half
I can finally mark the Barber Half off my "coins to find" list. 1898, not the best condition, but it's a keeper. Also got a silver Washington, a Merc worn thin with no date, a silver St. Christopher, five wheaties, a handful of clad and the usual trash. Found with my Etrac in a public school yard. I've been passing on this school yard for the last five years. The school was built in 1950's and it didn't appeal to me as a place for old coins. After researching some old Sanborn maps, I found out that this property has had a school on it since the 1880s. It produced a couple of Indian heads and a seated dime earlier this year.
