Nice, I hear ya. I have found so many v-nickles and buffaloes because back then they went for the silver and that's it.

Good going ticotiger! if you are not digging nickels you won't be digging gold. I found 12 yesterday nothing older than 64 but I think it is the most nickels I have found at one site. Also found the usual quarters,dimes, and pennies. Plus two ear rings. Cladius.

I use a CZ-5 and it puts nickels in the High coin tone and most pulltabs in mid tone. It's is one great Nickel busting machine.

The old farts that left you those nickels....left the gold rings and charms there for you too. I too am guilty of looking for the silver first.....but when that's cleaned up....I like to go back and try and dig some of those lower meter readings.
