My buddy Stan and I went back to a place we've been hammering. He managed another 1963 quarter again. I thought I had silver when I saw this grey disk because all the clad comes out so red.
I knew it was weird right away because it was kinda light in weight, and does'nt pass coin check on my Shadow X5. It reads as 8 on Stan's SE which he says a quarter normally is 29-30. Here's a few pics of it.

HUH? I wonder who would take the time to make fake quarters?
Certainly not to appear silver with a 1966 date. My guess is that its some kind of Magicians quarter used in a coin trick.

Magician's coin makes some sense, but what would the difference be between a regular quarter and this one? It's not magnetic. I'm baffled.

I dont know its just a guess. Try googling magician trick coins or post it over in "What Is It." Maybe it came apart before it was corroded. There may be a dime inside. Put it in the freezer to see if it splits open. Or maybe its a mint error. :dontknow: What is it pot metal? It doesnt look like play money. :icon_scratch:

Post in What Is It. They will figure it out. Interesting find.
