Hey folks,

Haven't posted lately (or done much detecting) since we have been busy moving to another town. But I did get out for a bit a few days ago to the old easement where my Safari found its first merc dime back in April. Back then I was very unexperienced on the Safari so I didn't recognize some of the signals as being good ones.

Anyhoo, out of this one easement I managed my first trifecta in one hunt! They are a 1912 V Nickel, a 1943 war nickel, and a dateless buffalo--none of which gave me a normal nickel reading, mind you. Out of this same easement came the Odd Fellows copper tag with name. I did some research on the house, and even drove by it, but it appears Mr. Steele may have passed away some time ago. Too bad, as I wanted to return it. I could just imagine his face if he was to see it back in his hands after so many decades.

The odd button also came out of the easement, and I'm hoping someone might be able to identify it.

I found the silver religious pendant and the buster brown item in the yard of an older city owned house (which is part of the parks dept.).

Now that I have a bit more time on my hands, I think I'll go head out now for a couple hours and do some dirt fishing. I love this extra hour of light we get up here in Washington!

You may need to enlarge and show the back of the button before someone can identify it. Looks good, though. Like Buster as well. His bug eyed dog is a little spooky.

Thanks everyone! It was nice to get out again for a while and come away with some decent finds.
