Hunting a trail kind of limits your options when 'hot spots' are found. I think the GPS tracking for field hunting is a great idea and a very useful tool

I did find 3 more RR track coins and my count now at 17. Still hoping to start counting other than flats but not complaining on the finds from 'flat track trail'.

Very interesting.....is all your finding the flattened coins? Finding any others? Are you looking near/on an abandoned railroad
track?
I think I can remember putting a few coins on the railroad track that was between my home and the school I attended. Don't know if I ever was able to find the coins after the local train did its work on them.

As a kid I couldn't find the coins either. I'm now catching up

what kid didn't put a couple on the tracks? I remember finding one of mine then trying to spend it at the store. They wouldn't take it. Surprise.
