    fighting Jack Frost

I rolled out of bed this morning ,got warm clothes and headed out. There was about 3 inches of snow on the ground and the wind was blowing fairly briskly. In about 20 minutes I was at my hunting spot and was? hitting the? field .The weather could have been a lot worst so I was happy to get out of the house.. After ten minutes or so I found my first coin. The whole trip was worth it then. The coin is very common but the date was 1914.The year WW1 started in Europe. It made me wonder, what the mindset was back then? I did not make any great finds but I enjoy just being able to touch a little bit of history no matter how meager the finds. Hope you all stay warm and happy hunting.

    ? ? ? ? ?Soldiers are supposed to be tough.? Right?? ?
? ? Great finds!!? ? ? Glad to hear you got out today.
I totaly agree with you about touching history. Funny, I never cared about history in school. But something about being the first to see and touch something since the person that lost it a 100 or more years ago, fascinates me. May sound screwy, but just for a moment I feel almost like I'm transcending time. Or touching the past, if you will. WTG!!
