1941 Walking Liberty Half Dollar & Sterling Cufflink From Dime Cache Woods

Was back in the woods today where I found the 38 Mercury & Roosevelt Dimes last Wednesday, and found this 1941 Walking Liberty Half Dollar about 30 yards away from the Dime Cache hole. Had just got to the general area of the cache spot, and wouldn't you know it, one of my first signals was a shallow full bar 25 cent reading that quickly bounced up to full bar 50 cent reading on the VDI. As usual with shallow targets I didn't get too excited, since I've only had a handful of full bar 50 cent readings over the past four years, and they usually turn out to be a piece of metal junk. So I cut a shallow plug, and when I flipped the plug over, this big piece of shiny silver came out with the plug and was lying on the ground in plain sight. Needless to say, I was pretty psyched and pounced on that sucker! Only the second half dollar I ever dug, though my first one was a killer 1877 Seated Liberty Half found the day before Thanksgiving 2007 and posted here on the forum. Then a little while later I got a full bar quarter reading at 1 inch and this one was the clad I was expecting - a highly corroded 1970 quarter. Finally, I finished the hunt with a sterling silver cufflink that probably dates from the 1940s or 50s. Note: I did spend another 15 or 20 minutes searching around the cache hole, but didn't come up with anymore dimes.
