US Light Dragoon hat pin

Finally got to go swing the Tejon For a couple of hours today.. It has been killer hot.... We went out to a spot that I have wanted to hunt for years. Right off the bat we got into a small trash pit and found 4 small buttons. The next ridge over and alot of sweat later I found another trash pit and found this Dragoon hat pin and a small piece of the L. US Light Dragoon !!!!

I just did a quick search to see what the original badge looked like, but haven't found an example. Can you give a link or show us a pic, Please

Each letter was an individual pin or badge. The soldier would have USLD on his hat.
