O.K. Folks,
It's been way too hot for me to get out to detect here in NC. I tried the plantation house yard yesterday for about an hour after work and came up with a no date Buff before being soak & attacked by mosquitoes. :(
I actually did better today at the flea market and found this little Colonial guy for $1.00. :icon_thumleft:
Note the Colonial shoe buckles too.
O.K., feel free to gong me off the stage now. :tongue3: ;D
99 & 101 degrees the next few days. :sunny:
Come on fall!!!

P.S.
Kyle, I thought this Colonial guy would make a great avatar for you. :icon_thumleft:

WTG, not quite a colonial find, but it will be to someone else in about 300 years :laughing9: I did notice a lithograph of Staten Island in the background, what year and town is that from. SI is only 1 1/2 hours from me and I'd like to see how that area looks today. BTW you should ask the manager of the flea market for permission to hunt the grounds, I have had some interesting finds including silver. That and I have made friends with many of the regular vendors that tell me where the most action for the day was. ;D

That would look pretty cool in a display case in the center of your colonial finds,THeres a use for every thing.

Good eye Spartacus.
That is a Currier & Ives print of Staten Island dated 1861.
As far as the flea market, it's all asphalt. :(
