I got out to a local beach this morning and hunted below the high tide line, which is the only place here in RI not covered in snow. Got 2 quarters, 2 nickels, and 3 pennies, one of which was my 1,000th coin for this year, which was my goal when I got my ACE250 in March. Now, I know that to some of you, 1,000 coins is not a whole lot, but considering that , between work, and 5 kiddies at home, I really only get an hour or two each weekend to hunt. With a years experience, and knowing how to use my ACE250, my goal for next year will be 2,000 coins, plus all the other goodies found along the way. Pics below, and the crusty 2005 penny is coin 1,000. As crusty as she is, ain't she purdy?! Thanks for looking, and HH!

Lol, Kermit! It's actually somewhere around 600-700. I have been keeping them in a pulltab piggybank made out of a plastic juice bottle for my daughter to turn in for her Girl Scout troops annual pulltabs drive for the Ronald McDonald House charity. I counted them a few months ago, it was around 550 at the time, gotta be 600-700 by now.

Good going!!! Me thinks you are having fun... Do you ever wish that you had started MDing sooner?

I need to count my coins, i've only had a detector since August.

Congrats,

I think 1,000 coins is a great goal! You should have a silver goal, a dollar goal and a jewelry goal....or just a silver goal, that is something I would like to see!!

Keep @ it and HH!!

Thanks everyone. I'm in it for coins, relics and old bottles. Silver and gold, wether in coin or jewelry form, is just the icing on the cake!

1000 coins...thats great for the year. You say you got your ACE in March...imagine how many coins you would have for the full 12 months of the year. Any of the coins pre 1964? Good job.

Congrats on the 1,000th coin TreasureKidd. By the way, there's no snow in Narragansett. I went down there yesterday for about an hour but didn't find anything. Glenn
