Well, what a day! I got a chance to get out for an all day hunt on Sunday with my dad, uncle, brother Bootstrapvin and my brother-in-law. We were hitting up a couple sites that we have pounded pretty hard this year, but on Sunday seemed to produce like new territory. Luckily, this time I had a camera with me so I could get some action photos for the first time. It worked out great! At the first site, I do not think any of us expected anything other than a coulpe of silvers and wheats because of how hard we have hit it in the past. Well to make a long story short, between the 5 of us we pulled 7 silvers and about 50 wheats and 2 rings. Bootstrap found 2 mercs(43,45) and a 1906 barber dime. My dad found a 1941 merc and a 1942 Walking Liberty half. The first picture is really cool. My dad called me over and told me I better get a picture because he had a half in the hole! I walked over and could see him pointing in the plug he had just dug. I snapped a pretty cool picture. My brother-in-law found 18k gold plated ring and a nice sterling ring. I ended up finding 2 mercs. (25,26). Not bad for a place we thought was "hunted out". After a short lunch break we decided to hit a spot that used to be park many years ago. This spot has produced a lot of goodies this year. The signals are far and few between now, but it is such a large area that you could never find them all. I was working my way down beside of a trail when the arm rest on my detector broke. I was about 200 yards from the car, so I had to go back and get my back-up detector. It was actually a good thing this happened because I wouldn't have found what I did if this didn't happen. I grabbed my other detector and started working a different area further away from the trail than I was before. I noticed a little open area by a big stump that I know myself and everyone else had been before, but I thought what the heck. About 2 feet from the stump I got a beautiful signal! I couldn't believe it! How could we have missed that all these times! I dug a plug and checked the hole. It was still there. I took some dirt out of the hole and then I saw it, barber dime! 1901 O. I was stoked. I took a picture, called the guys on the radio and then rechecked the hole, nothing. I then rechecked the plug, BANG! BANG! "NO WAY", I thought. I sifted through the dirt and there it was, a BARBER QUARTER!! 1902. I was excited. The rest of the day was pretty quiet. I managed a 1905 IH. My dad pulled an IH as well. My uncle managed to find his first piece of silver from this spot after finding numerous IH's and early wheaties. A 1942 Washington quarter. After all was said and done, The 5 of us together found 10 silvers, a couple of IH's, about 50 Wheaties and a couple of nice rings. Finding the old stuff was great, but the time spent with the family is priceless. Thanks for taking time to read my post. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Happy hunting everyone!

Thanks for all the replies! We definatley had a blast! It just goes to show that no site is ever hunted out. You just might have to slow down a bit, but there always seems to be a little more. Keep those detectors on the ground and keep on diggin'. Happy hunting guys and gals!
