Cherry pickers...... Gotta Love 'Em!

Yes Cherry pickers. You know the kind, just turn the discrimination way up and go fer da silver and clad. I own a minelab XS, but never use it for tot lotting or volleyball hunting. Why not you ask? Well on certain signals I look at cursor and don't dig because it is either a piece of foil or a tab. Yes, I could be called a cherry picker as well, but that is why I use my Fisher 1266-X, no meter! I set my 1st. disc at 3, and my 2nd. just below a 6, that way I get nickels, foil, tabs, gold! And I don't see what it is till it's out of the matrix. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You......... Mr., Ms. or Mrs., cherry picker. You have made me very happy the last 3 days. Oh yeah forgot to mention, thanks for removing all those screwcaps too. Today I went to to cherry picked places, the first produced a first communion ring w/dove, had to have it tested, it is silver. The second park I went to, I hunted a large double volleyball court, nice dry loose sand, and deep too...... I got this 10k ring with I think, a pretty tourmaline stone, there are 6 diamonds on either side of it. It is marked 10k and other mark is LBL ( I think?) The stud I got 2 days ago in a tot lot. I can't read the mark on the back with my eyes or 10X loupe So I don't know if the stone is real or not...............NGE

Call me a cherry picker :laughing7: Sounds like me but I still find a gold ring here and there with the old trusty yellow fellow. Looks like you are doing very well lately on the rings and jewelery :icon_sunny:

I click on this post expecting to read a good story and instead I get insulted.......... :laughing7:
Great find on that ring, I never saw one like that, it ROCKS!!!!!!! :icon_pirat:
When Im out I just look for old deep coins but when I get a signal for an 18k I dig them up. (I found an 18k ring last year and did an air test so I know where it places on my minelab, inbetween a screw cap and a memorial penny). But I have yet to find a piece of gold with my SE. My Ace 250 on the other hand, I found 3 pieces of gold.

Hay Tank,

For jewelry, I find it in this order,

Park tot lots, school tot lots that are open for the public to use,
fresh warter swim beaches, around concrete swimming pool decks,
sports fields, where drunk folks like to have sex outside.

About 80 percent comes from tot lots.

About 90 percent is found with a Tesoro Compadre.

I have two of them. Total investment = $220

Return on my $220 is well over $2,000. I will know better when I
send my next shipment to Mid West. My last one netted $1,040.
This next one has a lot more scrap gold.

That is in a little over two years.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

Re: Cherry pickers...... Gotta Love 'Em!

Terry, I have the engagement ring sold, just have to find out what it's worth, which I will do tomorrow. Another one of the "Jammers" fiancee saw it tonight and it fits her perfectly, he said he will get in contact with me within the next couple of weeks. That is the 14k white gold one with the 3 diamonds.........NGE
