Joe, Rob (Mr. Shark Pit to you), and I got out to the 1700 Cool Hollow House
at sunrise and went to work (Actually, not work at all!!!).
I came away with some decent finds.

Civil War Era Rifle Nose Cap
Variant 3 Ringer
Flattened 3 Ringer
45 cal. Pistol bullet
2 Flat Buttons
Pack Stud
1953 Silver Washington
1943 Merc
No Date Buffalo
2 Indians 1891, 1903
8 Wheaties 1909 vdb, '10, '15, '17, '17, '19, '46, '51
2 Small Buckles
Suspender Clip
3 Dog Tags 1951, 1952, 1952
Unknow chunk of Brass

These were actually all found between a short hunt last night and this morning.

Nice diggin Ty. The piece of brass looks like the same piece I found earlier this year, but I never found out what it was.

It is large enough but it is threaded in both ends. ???

tym, that's an intersesting piece of brass. Never saw one exactly like that before. Check the inside threads and see if they are opposing rather than in the same direction. If opposed the odds are it is a really nice threaded pipe connector which allowed two pipes to be spliced together without either pipe (or tube) being required to turn. .

I mic'd it and it is 8.25 mm / 5/16 in.
