2 Brass buttons and a Gem on an Historical property.

Today was my 2nd time looking on this property which I have exclusive rights too. I will reveal more as I get more pictures to authenticate things there.
So, for today, I found with my DFX 2 brass buttons and what turned out to be a costume jewelery broach.
I was excited enough to find the buttons, but my heart did race there for a few seconds when I dug up the broach.
I thought, naawww, can't be real, just costume jewelry. Sure enough, when I was finished for the day, my first stop was the local Jeweler. He looked at it for about 1 second, and gave me the bad news... oh well, does look nice though.

As for the brass buttons, they were made by a ( R. Robinson & Co. in attleborough )
That's the way its spelled on the back. I have looked up some info on the company on-line, and I'm just not sure of the if I have the right Robinson Family or not that made buttons back in the latte 1700's, early 1800's. If anyone has any information about this button it would be greatly appreciated. More to come as I continue to detect this property.

Well I got another one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that's 3 total brass buttons from the same company of R. Richardson & Co.
Another possible silver button. I'm not sure, its hard to see in the pictures ( on the back it says LONDON DOUBLE PLATED).
It has a little design on it also, but no shank in the middle.

The large ball is a musket ball, not sure what caliber yet, I'll go down the the local gun store and see if he can help me out on that one.
If any one has any ideas on the buttons or musket ball, any input would be greatly appreciated.

More to come I hope.

It's great the the gold plating has held up on those buttons all these years! Keep looking--you may find a whole set there.
