Colonial "Button" from powder flask ID'ed

I dug this not to far from where I found the colonial 10 coin "pocket spill" last week.. have found plenty of period items.. round balls, pewter and flat buttons etc...

Any idea what this is??

I was thinking powder measure but it's the button from a shot flask. (definately)

John is 100% correct, the photo on this link is copyright protected so here is the link instead to look and compare..........

Unless it was of the leather kind the rest should be there! The tube should be too. Those are usually leather though.

Interesting. I will most definitely take note of this for the future. I'm sure I would be stumped too if I found something like that.
WTG and thanks!
