Went to a new spot today. a old right of way in the middle of the woods..there is a good size pond there too but i couldn't get to it with all the thorns. will have to wait until it all dies off. managed to get a few nice keepers, gold plated small ring with a "R" on the front. was only 2" down, the Button with the cross artillery/cannons was around 5" deep. anyone know a date on it, i'd love to know... 1907 Barber Dime was only 1/2" deep under a small tree...then i thought i had a pocket watch at first but turned out to be a compact... was hoping something was inside it but nope, empty...still pretty cool to find..

From the looks of your finds, you have a very promising area to hunt

Good luck on your future hunts out there!

I'd say WW1 for the Artillary pin. I think they were put on the collar of the shirt.

I agree. Definitely a piece of collar brass. I'm unsure of the exact date range though. Nice finds.
