Roman Silver & Hammered!

Today we decided to explore the field next to the one we had success on yesterday
We spent 5 hours (10 man hours) & did the whole of one end of the field, nearest the Villa edge.
I got a Roman Silver of Maximinus I (AD235-238) & a hammered of Edward I (our first hammered from these fields).
19 Roman Bronzes
2 Nice Roman Brooches (strangely Dads first find & his last on the way back to the car)
Roman Bracelet piece
Mystery roman object (part of an oil lamp lid?)
Pleased with the pewter button with loop in nice condition (18th C)

A very pleasing day

Really, you are posting silver? Your posts are going down hill fast, I only look at them 'cause I just know I am going to get to see ancient gold coins. Very disappointing Cru...

To be honest, as we were trying an new field without crop marks & after the evening we had yesterday, I was fully expecting a butt kicking. This was a major result, sorry we were a little off form
