Found an old "Dandy" Button.

Not sure what it went to, but I was told it may be from 1700's. Been diggin old stuff at this site. I love this button. I thought it was a GW at first. I drove straight home to post it on "what is it" then flew back to the site. ;D Thanks for looking.

Re: Found an old Button.

That is a nice Dandy Button!

FYI, Dandy buttons were large, over-sized buttons worn by affluent people of their time (1790's) to denote wealth and status.

A keeper for sure!

Thank you all for naming this button. Do you think this button was made in England?

Dandy buttons were usually imported from England, although I would imagine that some were made on this side of the pond.
