Hope you're all having a nice fall, best time of year to hunt here in the Northeast. I've been wanting to post my finds from the last couple weeks, today's find really got me in gear, so enjoy.

Found what I think is a new old spot in the woods close to town, took some old hiking trails and ended up in a beautiful grove. Found my first ever capped bust coin, an 1834 dime. Finally made the club! Not in the greatest shape, but it doesn't matter a bit to me...

Also managed to find a 1792 1 reale, my 4th in all....

kf.10.09.14.jpg

1893-S Barber quarter, nice semi-key date..

kf.10.09.11.jpg

1901 dime...

kf.10.09.12.jpg

CT copper, I think, can definitely make out the lady and the bust faces left, but that's about it...

So close!

kf.10.09.4.jpg

Quite a few buttons, including a real shiner....

kf.10.09.6.jpg

Little postman button, this is the second one I've found....

kf.10.01.3.jpg

Awesome buckle, big, almost 4 inches across, bail even swings still...

kf.10.09.10.jpg

And a little Niagara Falls pin...

Thanks for looking, happy hunting,
Steve

Awesome finds. Just the type of stuff that makes me want to fill the gas tank and head west on I90 for about two hours.

That buckle is soooo cooool. The soil was very kind to it all these years.

Congrats.

Congrats on the great assortment of finds there. Love the USPS score. Wonder how old that is. Just nabbed a 1893 quarter myself the other day. Same condition too.

hey ziphius...

no, I didn't find all in the same hunt. these finds were over a two-week period. I did return to the spot I found the dime, spent some time there and managed a few indian heads...I know there's more old silver there.

looks like the pin is not postal, but u.s. pony club. anyone know how old it is?
