continues to show .....
I assure you that this is one of the few Hellenistic sculptures were brought from Greece to the western Hellenistic sea. Greek world is more remote place in Greece including the Greek cities Emporion and Massalia.
greetings!

The young face appears god Apollo .. but the cloak hanging from left arm is typical of the sculptures of the god Heracles, I am somewhat surprised by the emotion of the moment, today and found the best of my life in a very strong raining day and an unknown area for me and everyone.
Greetings!

Very cool that you were of mind to be able to Photograph the extraction. I'm not sure I could be that patient.

How neat to find something that nice and so old. Must have been quite a thrill once you "figured" out what you had. Always enjoy your pics of your finds.

Re: Heracles or Apollo? I'd name him Dick :laughing7:
