Silver or gold can be rinsed in vinegar or lemon acid....but be careful that coin is not silver plated, you will ruin it.Bronze coins i clean with sharp dentist tool under the magnifier.

Thank you all :notworthy:

OK, I use Lemon Juice sometimes, I also noticed it doesn't work well on debased silver :icon_thumright:

The XP is the best machine I have used, I know it doesn't have the best depth compared to some machines but depth is not the most important thing to me on ploughed land. Also I don't use discrimination, so can't comment. I like to hear everything & dig most rubbish/iron, plus any Disc will affect the depth as well.
Last year with the Cortes I had about 30 Medieval Hammered Silver coins. This year I'm already on 81. Plus 5 Gold Coins this year, & over 600 Roman Bronzes. :icon_thumright:
Its my first year so still learning ;D
