Hey all! I went walking out into the woods behind my house today. I came across a dipoff that was covered with broken bottles. I got my digger and started digging. After 20 minutes I was finding old marlbes like it was nothing. I was walking home when I realised I left my pinpointer in the woods. As I went back and was looking for the pinpointer, I seen something in the shape of a ring on the ground where I have been digging. Picked it up and sure enough it was my first gold piece! a 14 K gold wedding band!! I was so happy. However I didnt find my pinpointer ( Garrett BTW!) Yeah so I dont know if you could say I gained on the deal. I am going back out there tomorrow morning anyways so It will surely come up. thanks!! Oh can anyone tell me what that brown thingy is? It has the alphabet on it. ab..cd..ef..gh.. and on. and the pointy piece actually moves up and down? It opens up as well.

Congrats on a Nice Ring. Be sure to use your detector when you go back. That Garrett may have slipped under the leaves. I once left mine in a field for a week ! Didn't discover it missing until we went out the following weekend. I couldn't believe DeArmitt found it almost right away. Good thing the farmer didn't plow ;D Wrap some blaze orange tape around it.

Nice find. Love those old marbles any day. Nice ring too. Looks like an old dump. I'd be hitting that place hard :o
